From his interview at Classic Rock Revisited--David Pack, Beyond Ambrosia:
"I love serving others. It has been an honor for me and I will probably produce records until I drop. I realize that God gave me a talent and a voice and my fans are so loyal, they are all over the world and they write to my website and ask me to please make another record because they love my voice. I get letters from all over like Iran, Chili, Paris, England, Mexico, and it is like you realize that these people want to hear me sing and they want to hear my songs. I owe that to these people."
"I have always been a Christian. I have never tried to push that faith onto others. While I was in Ambrosia I was kind of an on the fence Christian because I believed but I was not studying. I wasn’t going anywhere with it. The last fifteen years I have studied a lot and I even started a spiritual media company 4 years ago called Mpowered Ideas Inc. The whole purpose was to create cutting edge positive value content that is targeted toward at risk teens. In the music business you either have Christian music on the left and main stream rock on the right. There is nothing that bridges those two musical extremes. I felt that a lot of young people would not expose themselves to quote unquote Christian music. I invented a project called Committed to Rock that was released last year on Time Life Music that was a collection of eighteen of the most positive and powerfully inspiring rock songs with artists like Dave Matthews, Creed, Moby, The Foo Fighters, Nickleback, and even Christian cross over groups like P.O.D, Jars of Clay, and DC Talk. Some of those bands biggest hit records in one collection. It was kind of like an alternative to Now That’s What I Call Music. It did really well. The whole focus in all the press, and we got a lot of press with this thing, was to try to help some of these troubled or at risk teens who where committing suicide, taking drugs, and succumbing to violence on campus. This music could plant seeds of positivity in life choices. My hope is to have a concert series for Committed to Rock."
"I have two daughters and there is a song for each of them. My oldest daughter, we don’t like to use the word handicap, but she is a SIDS baby, she is now 22, but is a special needs kid, who was adopted from birth in Atlanta, Georgia and remains a special needs kid. She is a remarkable kid. She has really overcome her handicap very well."
"She may never drive, and still struggles to try and overcompensate in a way for her disabilities. She’s got a huge heart and she is very social and she always tries to make friends with anybody. She does not discriminate against age, race, color, or creed; she just sees someone’s heart and a potential new friend. I think that is so beautiful. I dedicated a song called “Elizabeth”, which is the only instrumental piece on the record. At the very end I have her say, “Hey Dad” because I just wanted her to share that moment. It may be corny to some people but to anyone that is a parent it is pretty awesome.
"Ahhhhhhh, You know I just wanted her to have something she could be proud of and tell her friends about. You know it is impossible to write a song about your kids. You can’t put everything that you feel into one song, so I decided to make it instrumental. That way for 3 ½ minutes you can think whatever you want to think about and whatever memories you want about your children. The songs become like a soundtrack to remembering how much you love your kids. It is a little self indulgent but I said I don’t care it is my record."
